Over so many years of LXA.

May 26th, 2008 by Tom Earp. Popularity: 41%.

Since 1966 when we were colonized and became LX Z in 1969, I have had the privelige of meeting so many Brothers from the newest neophytes to some of the Grand High Zeta and Officers of IHQ.  Next year, 2009, LXA will celebrate its 100 th year since founding and LX Z will celebrate 40 years of a Zeta.

I have had the pleasure of seeing Brothers do well and the sadness of Brothers dieing.  I have also seen the demise of Zetas because of inappropriate actions by a few.

The pleasure of meeting fellow Brothers is such a rewarding part of LXA as it is getting possible new members to join our Brother Hood.

Is a Brother who has done well in all of the many industries more important than a Brother who has disappeared or fallen from a roof or over a railing at one of our houses? Hazing is verboten as it should be and We were the very first to do it!

I have found that Alumni can be of tremendous help to each Zeta and many times is needed to keep the younger Brothers from straying from our rules and regulations.  We are one of the most influential Greek Letter Organizations that I know of and it does take each and every one of us to keep the flame alive.  Have You been back to Your Zeta in a while, are you offering your help?

It took some LXA Brothers who found Warren Coles buriel place and Jack Masons as well.  History has a problem of repeating itself and learning comes from there.

I suggest if you get a chance, visit other Zetas, meet your other Brothers!  There are some great guys out there!
