Brother Tom:

Always I enjoy -- indeed, I'm blessed -- by the words you leave, either in "Voices" or in response to another page on the C & C e-magazine! Where did you learn such good writing skills?

To rephrase your words above, "Why do people like myself or [other LCA alumni] still do this? It is Love!"

Yes and amen! It IS that four-letter word, as defined by the Apostle in I Corinthians 13! AND it's both! That is: unconditional, other-affirming, self-denying love, for the brotherhood AND the individual Brothers we've met over the years! In my case, it's been over 36 years since I became an initiated member -- and I still pray for my AM class brothers, my Big Brother and my Little Brother and their families! I haven't seen any of them except the last-named -- and him not since he was my Best Man almost 30 years ago -- but ALL the University of Idaho Lambda Chis are still very much in my heart and on my spirit!

And now, since moving to San Antonio in '02 and getting involved with the local Alumni Association and the three local Zetas my fervor and love for both the Brotherhood and the Brothers I personally know has been ignited in a major way! Therefore, all S.A. Brothers (and Associates) are likewise in my heart and on my spirit!

God bless Lambda Chi Alpha, the Teachings and Ritual and the Brothers!

In ZAX,
