We as Brothers.

It is always interesting to read these Blogs. For some reason I was having a problem with my server and with the help of Jason Pearce, I am now able to again.

It can be seen that we as a National Fraternity have some problems with individuals and Zetas, but with an organization of our size and width there will be problems of some not thinking about what they are doing and the problems that it can cause. As a Co-Moderator on a Greek Chat web site, I see this daily and shake my head.

But on the other side of the coin, I have been in contact with many Brothers from many Zetas other than my own. This ranges from all corners of the Lambda Chi Alpha world and what a pleasure it is. Working with a Young Brother in North Carolina to Alumni in California, Ney York, Texas, Illinois and Ohio is important to me as a Member of our great Fraternity.

This is the true meaning of LXA, working with Brothers from all over. Working with four Brothers in finding Warren Coles resting place was one of the most exciting things I have done in 41 years with LXA.

The idea of having National Headquarters finally putting more importance of working and getting Alumni more involved is one of the biggest steps that needed to be taken. Having harped on this for years it finally has come to the front. Alumni have been unrecognized for years except for donating money. The time, hours, and money given to each Brtothers Zeta is little recognized. Thank you for the change! To the many Brothers who give your time THANK YOU! I am proud to be one of you.

It is not just the Brothers I know In MY Zeta, it is the Brothers that I know from all over. If this is the case as I have related to Brother Chipperfield, maybe now it is the time to give the officership of the RHO more priority?

Amen!… I remember the first time i met with an ELC (jeff something) he mentioned to me that the strongest chapters he visited always had three really strong officers (in unlikely positions)… Delta, Kappa, and Rho… the way i figure it those chapters are strong because they recruit well, they teach well what it means to be a Lambda Chi, and they keep their valuable alumni as resources rather than as ex-brothers… anyway, i’m just catching up on my blog readings (xmas put me behind) but if you’d like you can follow my blogs on acting as a Rho (i’m actually about to post one here hopefully within the hour…)

    Brother Tom:

It seems that I’m often reading you at the Cross & Crescent website; you contribute frequently. Your postings always seem to be good, uplifting reading. This one is one of the best! It clearly displays your devotion to our Brotherhood! A devotion much like mine.

I’m curious about how you signed off on this one. Does it indicate that you were the initiated member of a Lambda-Chi or Lambda-Xi Zeta on some specific campus somewhere? IF so, what an homor to be THE FIRST initiate of Lambda Chi Alpha on a campus!

And Brother Jon, I like your comment in response to Bro. Tom! You present a cogent observation, so thanks for sharing this wisdom with us.
