Spring Mailer

January 13th, 2006 by Tina Waldrop. Popularity: 6%.

This is the time of year when there is a lot of activity going on around the headquarters. Between the upcoming conference, rosters, board meetings, conference calls and the ELC’s planning their itineraries for the spring along with the day to day things we do, we all seem to be constantly on the go.

It is great though when we can stop what we are working on and lend a helping hand to others when they need it. This is what happened on Wednesday, January 11, 2006, our conference room was a buzz with activity. The Consultants, Tim Reuter, and John Holloway all pitched in to help me stuff and mail out the spring packets.

These packets were created to go to the High Alpha, High Tau, High Gamma, High Pi, House Corp Treasurer and House Corp President.

When we started out the morning it was at a nice casual pace then as time slipped by and the deadline quickly approached. Things got pretty crazy, more workstations were set up. People were running between the conference room and the mail room trying to get these out before the three o’clock mail ran.

If you have ever been on a tour of the headquarters you know the conference room is not that big so you can imagine what it’s like when you put that many people in there and they are all working at top speed. You’re absolutely right it was a lot of FUN!

We had set the goal of three o’clock and we intended to keep it. With everyone’s help and dedication the goal was successfully met! Amazingly enough we met the goal with a smile still on everyone’s face and a sigh of relief as we watched it go out the door.

Preparing and shipping out a mailing of this size requires a lot of work not only from those that actually stuff the envelopes but from all those who had to prepare the information that goes into it. I would like to personally thank everyone for their assistance and hard work to make sure that we met our deadline. Not only our Chapter Services team but our IT department and Business Affairs.

Each packet contains some general information, a calendar of important dates, your chapter’s roster, a copy of your insurance premium and a copy of your most current chapter statement. Please watch for these packets to begin arriving to your chapters within the next week.

Sometimes when we are dealing with so much information coming from different sources we occasionally make a mistake. Well this time was no different. We did find a small error but fortunately it was one that was easily corrected by following up the mailing with a e-mail to everyone who received the packet. Hopefully know one is inconvenienced by the error.

The corrected Rosters are due back to headquarters by February 15, 2006. If a chapter/colony would like to receive a 3% discount on their roster than we need to have it back by January 27, 2006.
