Patriotism
November 11th, 2005 by Matt Griffin. Popularity: 7%.In our Associate Member ceremony, the High Beta talks about “highest ideals of patriotism.” Today, the United States Government celebrates Veterans’ Day, a holiday meant to honor our veterans for their service to our country, and for the sacrifices they have made for democracy.
Today is bittersweet, as I remember my grandfather and two uncles who fought in World War II and Vietnam respectively, but more so, I think about my brothers who are currently serving our country in the war on terrorism. Everyday, I am thankful for the sacrifices they have made to keep us free.
Take a moment today to say thank you to those serving our country, especially relatives and our Brothers of the Bond. Phelan, I miss you bro, come home safe. Sean, thank you for courageously serving our country, I’m glad to hear you don’t have to go back.
Any other veterans out there, thank you. For protecting our country and the American way of life.
