Join Voices

Voices is a community blog where Lambda Chi Alpha members write about their experience on a monthly basis. If you would like to become a regular contributor to Voices, please review our guidelines and expectations.

Our Expectations

If you would like to become an author of Voices, and we hope you will, here is what we ask of you:

Identity

You agree to blog using your real name and not an alias. You are a Lambda Chi, be proud of your voice.

Topic

Each post should be about your Lambda Chi Alpha experience and opinions in the past 30 days. Content should be in the present tense and not discuss things that happened months or even years ago.

Frequency

You agree to post two to five times a month for the next 12 months.

Length

You will limit each post between 30 to 300 words.

PG (Mom Friendly)

You will remain a gentleman, refraining from profanity or vulgar language. This site is open to all; e.g. parents, prospective members, children, donors, staff, VIPs, and the press.

Comments

Visitors to the site are encouraged to comment on your posts. You will honor and respect the opinions of others even if they differ from yours. If you choose to respond to someone’s comment, you will do so professionally and refrain from attacking the person or using sarcasm. Conflict and differing opinion is okay; but attacks, slander, and emotional outbursts are not okay. You promise to remain a gentleman even if others behave inappropriately.

Revocation

At anytime, Lambda Chi Alpha may edit or delete any post or comment made on Voices. You are a guest author, invited to participate. On the other hand, we hope you will freely and professionally speak your mind. If you ever question the appropriateness of a topic you’d like to write about (before posting), please contact Jason Pearce, director of information technology and communications, for advice.
