Alumni Coming Home

Over the past week I’ve had the opportunity to meet with several alumni from across the country to ask for their support of the Lambda Chi Educational Foundation. What surprised me most were two things.

The first was their recognition of how much the Fraternity has changed. How the focus of direction of what is offered to active members is so very different from when they were in school. In fact, most of the alumni indicated that they could not remember any programing from their days as an active.

The second was how much each of them like the opportunity to recall “the good old days”. It occurred to me that the fact that, after all these years, they are still considering, if you will, coming home by helping fund Foundation programs. Each of them still talked with the men who were active in their chapters when they were in school. Each of them helped their chapter in some form or another. and each of them recognized that if it weren’t for something larger they would not have had the opportunities that they have had.

I learned so much about loyalty to the fraternity from talking with them. It really was amazing.
