My SAC Hopes

Popularity: 5%.On August 5th, 2005, I received a call from John “Biff” Holloway, Director of Chapter Services for Lambda Chi Alpha, telling me that I was selected to serve as one of the members on the 2005-2006 Student Advisory Committee. I count myself very privileged and honored to have been selected to serve on this committee charged with the duty of being the voice of the undergraduates of our Bond of brotherhood. It is my hope that as the year progresses on, that I will so uphold that charge to the best of my ability and that I will be an able and committed representative voice of those whom I have been chosen to represent.
Since being told of my appointment to the Student Advisory Committee, I have constantly been thinking about what my personal mission and hopes are as a member of the SAC. In regards to me personally, I view my role as a member of the Student Advisory Committee as one who is charged with recognizing the fact that the undergraduate membership of Lambda Chi Alpha is the heart of “our fair Fraternity.” That role would also be paired with the responsibility of helping the Grand High Zeta, Educational Foundation, and all staff of Lambda Chi Alpha implement more worthwhile programs that will promote the great image of what it truly means to be a proud member of our Bond. As a member of the Student Advisory Committee, I feel that I have the duty and crucial responsibility to help recognize the fact that the undergraduates of Lambda Chi Alpha have a responsibility, both to the Fraternity and the communities in which we work and live, to give of ourselves for the greater good. I believe that the Student Advisory Committee should do the very best that it can to help target the problems and needs of the undergraduate members through productive dialogue so that the tradition of excellence that Lambda Chi Alpha has offered since 1909 will continue to shine bright and clear.
This is all that I believe in and hope for as a member of the Student Advisory Committee.
